Are you ready to make a difference in the office and on the work floor? We are looking for an enthusiastic Safety Coordinator!

THE ROLE

As a Safety Coordinator, you will work in the H&S team. You will be responsible for identifying and controlling safety risks on the work floor. You will ensure that safety instructions, action plans, and process descriptions are up-to-date, and you will develop and organize safety training for new and existing colleagues. You will be responsible for our Minkels (a brand of Legrand) location in Veghel and the Legrand location in Boxtel.

With our four-step plan (STOP), you will promote safety awareness among all employees, temporarily halt work, eliminate or mark risks, report and record hazards, and then safely resume work. This applies not only to our production and logistics environment but also to the office.

Additionally, you will investigate incidents and report your findings, providing advice on safety policies and procedures.

You will ensure that machines are safe and implement the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) system. You will work closely with various departments and external parties to create a safe working environment.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

We are looking for a proactive attitude in this role. You are a self-starter who takes initiative and can anticipate what might come. It is important that you can plan and organize and show leadership.

Since you will not be stepping into a ready-made role and will be working for two locations with different core businesses, you need to position yourself as a bridge builder and connector. Naturally, you are stress-resistant and can adapt as needed.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have an MBO level 4 work and thinking level.

• You have work experience in a coordinating role in the field of safety with several years of relevant experience.

• You have knowledge of safety regulations and procedures and know how to apply them in practice.

• Work experience in the metal industry is a plus.
